Hướng dẫn tối ưu hóa mã nguồn phpfox

Hôm nay mình viết bài hướng dẫn các bạn một số tùy chọn có thể giúp tối ưu hóa tốc độ cũng như giảm tải cho máy chủ chạy web phpfox.

Phần hướng dẫn gồm 2 phần:

I. NÊN BẬT:
1. GZIP HTML Output -> True (Tùy chọn này sẽ nén dữ liệu đầu ra giúp tiết kiệm băng thông.
2. Cache JavaScript & CSS -> True
3. Cache Site Stats –> True. (Site Statistics)
4. Cache Top Bloggers – True (Blog)
5. Blog Cache (Minutes) –> 5 (Hoặc 10 là tùy bạn)
6. Cache Plugins –> True
7. Cache Feeds –> 5 (Feed)
8. Feed Limit (Days) –> 5 (Feed)
9. Show Empty Tabs -> True (Profile)
10. Cache (for Tags) –> Để mặc định

II. NÊN TẮT (False): Các lựa chọn này nên để false sẽ là tối ưu
1. XHtml Valid – This says it takes extra resources to use. (Content Formatting)
2. Resize Images – This takes extra overhead to use. (Content Formatting)
3. Resize Embedded Videos – This one is still experimental and can be unstable. It also adds extra overhead to the script, meaning it takes more resources to use. (Content Formatting)
4. Section Privacy Item Browsing – This setting is particularly dangerous to run on a shared server. This requires a loadbalanced server and in some cases several servers. (General)
5. Friends Only Community – This one goes with the Section Privacy Item Browsing so again is dangerous to run on shared. You have to ensure that you have a load balanced server or more than one to run this setting. (General)
6. Log Site Activity – This one will make a huge database and really is not for shared environments. (General).
7. Display Post Count for Categories <Personal> Adds extra strain to the server. (Blog)
8. Log Missing Image – (Core/Development)
9. Database Tracking – requires extra resources (Forum)
10. Friend Suggestions - this requires a lot of extra server resources and is still experimental. (Friend)
11. IM – do not enable any IM that is loaded to your server for shared accounts. There are some free chat things, such as the Wibiya bar, that are not hosted on your server and will not take those resources. IM takes far too many resources to run on Shared.
12. Display Total Mail Count – this adds an extra query to the database. (Mail)
13. Disallow Selecting Not Allowed Recipients – this can slow a site and uses extra resources. (Mail)
14. Site Wide Notification – this one makes 2 extra database queries for every page the user visits, creating a high load for the shared server. (Notifications)
15. Live Shoutbox – shared servers generally cannot handle having the shoutbox live (Shoutbox)

* Để tìm thấy nơi tùy chỉnh các lựa chọn trên một cách dễ nhất bạn làm như sau:

Đăng nhập khu vực quản trị -> gõ vào ô tìm kiếm từ khóa tương ứng ví dụ với tùy chọn này 1. GZIP HTML Output bạn sẽ gõ từ khóa gzip khi đó sẽ xuất hiện kết quả cho bạn lựa chọn.
